Just like we started last year's article, this year was not much different. COVID-19 is still in our lives and by the looks of it, it's going to take a while before we get rid of it too.

Anyhow, we are not doctors or scientists, so let's get on with the positive! ๐Ÿค“

This year was once again a wild ride, we've been able to introduce so many awesome new features & tools to speed things up server management-wise. Let's sum up a few of the highlights up for 2021!

NGINX 1-click install Amplify

NGINX Amplify is a free, SaaS-based monitoring tool for NGINX Open Source and NGINX Plus. With NGINX Amplify you can monitor performance, keep track of infrastructure assets, and improve configuration with static analysis.

And now, you may easily install NGINX Amplify with 1-click on the button. Head over to your manage tab, press โ€œInstall NGINX Amplifyโ€ and enter your API key, it's as easy as that. Obviously, we also offer the ability to easily uninstall.

Log4j

Just recently a security vulnerability was discovered in the Log4j package for Apache (CVE-2021-45046). In response to that, weโ€™ve done extensive testing to see whether Ploi provisioned servers weโ€™re vulnerable as well. We can safely say that Ploi has never installed Log4j, and does not install packages that rely on the Log4j package. Obviously, if youโ€™ve manually installed any software, we still recommend checking out whether your server is vulnerable.

Weโ€™ve also tweeted about this matter: https://twitter.com/ploi_deploy/status/1470331708960555010 (be sure to follow us ๐Ÿ’™)

What's coming for 2022?

So when youโ€™re looking at our roadmap, you might have noticed weโ€™re not done yet. There is so much awesome stuff on there, and we do not stop working until weโ€™ve finished all those cards. If you have a feature in mind or discovered a bug, do not hesitate and submit it to our roadmap. We also post regularly on our social media about the updates we do.

Be sure to follow us on social media!

Thank you for using Ploi in 2021 and we hope to see you in 2022, waiting for a big bag of features to come that year ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘‹
