At some point, you're going to want to upgrade your server. Either because you're running out of storage or memory.
Either way, it is completely safe to upgrade your server without breaking the connection with Ploi.
The only thing that could happen is that when the scheduled connection test or manual test is executed, it might tell you that the server is unavailable. You will always be able to test the connection again to restore the views to the original overviews.
